370 Metropolitan Ave
The City Reliquary’s small pieces of New York
Dave Herman began The City Reliquary Museum as a display in his apartment window. Today, you can see that collector’s attention turned toward subway tokens, Statue of Liberty postcards and fragments of the city itself. Terra-cotta pieces from buildings sit within a permanent collection that also includes geological core samples and paint chips from an L train platform.
136 Metropolitan Avenue, Brooklyn, NY11249
Dinner with a film at Nitehawk
Filmmaker conversations, archival 35mm screenings and first-run independent films give you several ways to choose a night at Nitehawk Cinema Williamsburg, west of the Reliquary on Metropolitan Avenue. Repertory programming brings older films back to the screen, while brunch and midnight series have their own place in the calendar. The original Williamsburg cinema has three relatively small theaters, with meals and drinks served at your seat.
70 N 7th St
Meet the sellers at Artists & Fleas
Fashion designers, vintage dealers, jewelry makers and print sellers share Artists & Fleas Williamsburg, north of Nitehawk on North 7th Street. On Saturdays and Sundays, you can browse directly with makers and collectors, asking about the pieces they’ve made or found. The market has occupied a former dry-goods and provisions warehouse since 2003, bringing small creative businesses together under one roof.
105 River St
Step out over the East River
From the market, the waterfront is close by at North 5th Street Pier and Park. You can walk out along the piers for open views of the East River and the Manhattan skyline opposite. The decks carry you beyond the neighborhood’s street grid, with railings along the water.
80 N 6th St
New music inside National Sawdust
Composers and performers working across chamber music, jazz, electronic music and global traditions shape the program at National Sawdust, inland from the waterfront on North 6th Street. You might hear an intimate unamplified performance or a work built around electronic sound. The venue both commissions and presents new music, including projects that connect sound with poetry and film.
61 Wythe Ave
Bowling, Blue Ribbon food and live music
Friends can bowl while a band plays at Brooklyn Bowl, farther north on Wythe Avenue. Sixteen lanes share the music venue, with views toward the live show from the bowling area. You can settle into a game with Blue Ribbon food and drinks served beside the lanes; Chesterfield couches behind them give the group somewhere to gather between turns.

Neighborhood FAQs
Where can I shop for vintage beyond Williamsburg’s weekend market?
You can browse furniture and fashion at Dobbin St., or try L Train Vintage’s smaller boutique for occasional designer pieces.
L Train Vintage – Grand St carries a varied selection despite its size, including designer pieces from time to time. It’s open noon to 7pm Tuesday through Sunday.
Where else can I enjoy Williamsburg’s waterfront?
Two East River parks put different parts of Williamsburg’s industrial history beside the water.
Domino Park occupies the former Domino Sugar Refinery site. Its waterfront promenade and elevated walkway add routes for a stroll, while the playground, volleyball court, bocce area and dog run offer other ways to use the park.
Marsha P. Johnson State Park preserves rail yard remnants, including tracks embedded in concrete, among native meadow plantings. It has East River and Manhattan views, picnic space and a dog run.
Where can I hear live music in a smaller Williamsburg setting?
For a smaller room, the choice is between a long-running open mic and dinner with live music.
Pete’s Candy Store Open Mic runs free every Sunday in its intimate music room, hosted by Bruce Martin, from 5–8pm. Performer sign-up starts at 4pm.
St. Mazie Bar & Supper Club offers close-up performances, dinner and drinks in its Cellar Supper Club Thursday through Saturday. The Main Floor has nightly music, oysters and a full dinner menu. The rooms have separate music programs.
