Share a lane at Melody Lanes
League bowlers and casual groups both play at Melody Lanes, a 26-lane neighborhood alley where you can make a game of the outing with friends or family. Make something with Brooklyn makers
Working Brooklyn makers teach the small-group workshops at Craftsman Ave, where you can build an oak side table, make stained glass or craft a leather bag. Welding and knife-making are on the roster, too, alongside a class devoted to refurbishing and upcycling a classic Game Boy. Beginners learn the tools and processes with individual attention from the instructors.

Taste ginger liqueur where it’s made
Ginger is the starting ingredient at Barrow’s Intense NY Tasting Room, where you can sample the liqueur produced on site and learn how its flavor is made. Close to the game lounge, this Industry City stop puts a Brooklyn-made spirit alongside whiskey, gin, vodka and brandy from distillers across New York State.

Step out onto the harbor
At the Brooklyn Army Terminal waterfront, you can watch ferries come and go, stroll the promenade or picnic beside the harbor. The public waterfront includes the north edge of Pier 4, and fishing is another way to spend time here. This is a separate southern extension from the Industry City cluster, with a ferry landing that also lets you make the boat ride part of your outing.
