Boogie Down Grind: hip-hop over coffee
Hip-hop runs through the menu at Boogie Down Grind, where you can order a KRS Kortado, Mos Def Mocha or De Latte Soul. For something sweeter, the Biz Markie Bombon combines espresso with condensed milk, whipped cream and cocoa. The names are playful, but the Big Punini supplies a substantial lunch: roasted turkey, cheese, olive spread and greens on focaccia from Bronx Il Forno.

BronxArtSpace: local lives in contemporary art
Bronx artists account for at least 45 percent of the exhibitors at BronxArtSpace, where you’ll find changing group shows connecting contemporary art with lived experience in the borough. Photography, textiles, video and performance all feature in its exhibition program.

Hunts Point Riverside Park: a riverfront reclaimed
Residents turned a debris-strewn street end into Hunts Point Riverside Park, where you can now picnic beside the Bronx River and look out over its working waterfront. Plantings frame a public space with barbecue stands, an amphitheater and a fishing pier. The river view is the year-round draw; the boat launch also connects the park to the neighborhood’s hands-on river programs.
Tiffany St &, Viele Ave
Tiffany Street Pier: farther south, open water
People come to Tiffany Street Pier to fish, walk out over the water and use the exercise equipment. You can make the pier itself your destination for an open-water view on the southern part of the peninsula.

Neighborhood FAQs
Where can I explore contemporary art in Hunts Point?
Hunts Point’s gallery programs offer two distinct approaches: graffiti and street art, and group exhibitions shaped by local social concerns.
WALLWORKS NEW YORK focuses on graffiti’s legacy and its development into contemporary street art. Founded with graffiti artist CRASH, it works with pioneering figures and emerging artists from the Bronx and beyond.
BronxArtSpace curates group exhibitions and supports Bronx artists through residencies and artist-led workshops.
What hands-on arts can young people try at THE POINT?
THE POINT offers young people two ways to make images, one through photography and the other through printing their own designs.
ICP at THE POINT photography teaches photography alongside writing and public speaking. Students have access to a studio and black-and-white darkroom, with cameras and supplies provided for the courses.
THE POINT Screen Printing program takes students from making stencils to using a screen-printing machine. They develop personal designs and print work connected to environmental justice campaigns on materials such as posters, T-shirts, and tote bags.
What local history can I explore in Hunts Point?
Two sites trace Hunts Point’s shift from colonial estates to an industrial neighborhood, while preserving the history of people often left unnamed.
